Learning Disabilities – Rehearsal – An Effective Study Method

In my capacity as a learning specialist at the Center for advice, I often see students who test in some form of anxiety. I make an analogy for it is tantamount to a test at the premiere of a performance and ask, “How do you prepare when you were in a scene?” Of course, they say that to repeat it often reads her lines until they were fully aware of, and a dress rehearsal to participate. Test plug, I explained, is similar to the preparation of a party in the theater, that:

* Is this a “performance” that are evaluated
* It causes a lot of the same fears (fear of forgetting, or failing)
* And therefore, as an enactment, repetition is the best form of preparation

When I teach, reading and learning skills, I use the strategy of repetition to the students to prepare for the midterm and final. I ask them to create their own tests with separate answer sheet. You may not think they could include on the review within certain guidelines, such as appear to the type and number of questions. encourage you to come with difficult issues and avoid having the “easy way”, I split the students 0-10 points on the general quality of its investigation. These points are then sent to the real score mid-term examination or received final.

When they bring their class tests, the exchange of checks with a classmate. They may use their books, use if needed during the test. When you are finished, they check their answers against the answer sheet prepared, and if there is a dispute over a good answer, I settle the debate. Once they determine what questions they missed, they told were questions and answers include in their notebooks, these questions are of course, their weaknesses and require further investigation.

Preparation for examinations in this way several goals:

1st Through your own questions and answers, students examine them to review the material and may be forced to distinguish between what they think, or not important.

3rd In one test, the student receives classmates still on a slope, which are considered as important information into account.

5th In the recording, they could not answer, they are zeroing in on items that require more time and effort.

Not all of these behaviors that we want our students to prepare for our exams?

My experience with this method was that students who have the possibility of recurrence enough usually end up learning more depth than when they left to themselves. Consequently, they suffer less anxiety and test generally better results with students who do not benefit from not repeating.
