Project Based Learning (PBL) allows the students to cooperate on certain tasks in order to solve a problem or problems. The effort will be done through questions, that the inquiry process, where the students a degree of research to collect data and draw conclusions by combining what they found out drive. There are different levels of the PBL – from simple to complex. A simple example of PBL are students working in pairs to a Venn diagram of the teacher given instructions. A more complicated example of PBL is to assign groups of students to ten stations around the classroom display. At each station there are different elements. The challenge lies in the socio-economic forces that pushed these products are manufactured to be determined. PBL course engages students, appropriate classroom management are carried out by the teacher, so that students remain focused on the tasks.
Lesson design is the basis for a successful PBL. My class PBL work has been forged with the help of a strategy lesson. This structure creates opportunities for students on how they think (metacognition), and thus reflect the capacity for logical thinking. Nevertheless, the data do not help to solve problems in the circumstances of the situation, but to think of the education of students on their feet giving them a tool to use for the rest of her life as a life-long learning. The lesson Matrix has defined clear goals, at least one challenge / problem starting concepts studied and is driven by the participation of students. Students conduct classroom activities on a topic that was distributed and explained, are based. The degree of difficulty of the task varied and tasks are not developed as a prescription to get the right answer. More importantly, my role as teacher is not the great sages in the class, I’m more of a facilitator. I do not answer all, if any, questions of the students. Instead, I answer their questions questions. Why? I want to move their thinking processes. My teaching experience has shown me that the students have a widespread attitude of “anything can be in 20 minutes or less solved,” which rely heavily influenced by television sitcoms and filled 30 new minutes show with two pieces of information: Presentation of minutes. PBL can be integrated on-line resources or without technology. I have found in both directions and that to capture the attention of students on two things: 1) the appropriateness of the challenge / question to the student life or the life outside the classroom and 2) depends understand students better, the task most often it is completed. They articulate six basic concepts of PBL: Integrated studies, project-based learning, the overall assessment, teacher development, the integration of technology, learning and social / emotional. Five key resources
The five PBL resources I have highlighted below, all in a line, some resources that can be used offline. I have all these classes, and they work well. I would like to stress once again that is largely the success of any PBL effort solely on classroom management skills of the teacher based. This does not mean you have to be a master teacher or even a master’s degree. It means that you have to be able to an educational dialogue with the students: they can hear instructions to follow and can hold without your advice, they took the time to design a lesson matrix, and that you the sincere desire to help them develop lifelong learning skills. PBL will also continue to teach students occupied, even if they have a reputation as disruptive in other classes, I’ve seen it happen time and again.
Merlot

Intel is one of my favorites of all time, because it contains examples of PBL, resources for activities provides. And it is easy to give, to the point, information about courses, which drives that encourage critical thinking.

They discuss critical thinking, including taxonomies and different styles of learning. It goes into detail how the opportunities metacognition bring into the project. The material here covers ALOS how the class work and teaching handle – step by step – so if you are in a dynamic learning environment PBL is built with critical thinking.
- Odyssey Innovative PBL hits the pavement here. Browse more than 350 projects in classrooms around the world that uses all areas of K12. Everyone has enough information to understand the big picture and technological resources to address them. The good news on Intel hardware is that you do not find a lesson plan stamp and although there are many things that help you get started, you will bind to the class for you.
- Planning Collaboration is the philosophy of education and research section. For teachers who are not familiar with the working groups that will be extremely useful in this section. They will research on how learning takes place, as the project work plan, implementation of evaluations and student learning promote critical thinking to be found. This is the basic substance to digest when you have a degree in education.
The Intel part I like best is the odyssey of the article because it was so fantastic, relevant links and resources. I can not get enough relevant material to teach my students.
AS, (Centre of Technology Enhanced Learning in Science)
This is the best “turnkey resource that I have ever used with my classes for PBL. This is based on science and mathematics, but a teacher has wonderful possibilities Cross program here. There are a ton of useful lessons and each includes simulations, research today shows the possibilities for data collection, reading comprehension, interactive graphics and other data, as well as cats and other online features. My students repeatedly said they wanted the use of AS-projects because they could work at their own pace, the material was interesting and equipment has helped us understand what we are studying.

I like this feature just because it simplifies my life and gives me more time to focus the students monitored.
My lesson here is a unit of ecology speak wolf populations. It examines a case study on the management of wolves from the perspective of farmers and the prospect of the wolves. There are five categories of tasks: the first group of students to design a food chain, and one other group has compared the characteristics of different environments. The synthetic activity is to explain a letter to the Governor to write your opinion about the essential facts of your project. I’ve always had students work in pairs on the computer to one that works well. The section allows you to arrange the pairs, if teachers consistently absent students. Whyvile
It is so cool and 21 Century. Whyville is a virtual world where boys and girls around the real world come to discuss, play, learn and play together. Each student will develop their character (face), and they deserve clams to do with games and other structured activities. For example, players can start a business or buy a car and go around to friends and even write for the newspaper of the city.
There are so many ways it can be used in a classroom, I can not even every post. The first step here, as in all the resources, you can use the material and then start a lesson with the students with special tasks to complete design. Then the next step is to implement these tasks in one category. To ensure students on the route from the start that the affair began before covered work.
What I like most about this site is that there is a chance for students to do “,” life is. Whyville is also another good site that breathes relevance. This is a little harder to set up a lesson around, but it’s worth it. For me, better than Second Life, Whyville is primarily because Whyville is less complicated to set up and run, it needs more, less computing power.
Alice
Alice is the perfect tool for learning about multi laden with opportunities for vocational training. Alice takes the mystery out of simple or complete programming and makes it as easy as speaking your ABC.
My intention with this article, is that teachers have more fun and are better equipped to produce PBL in their efforts to learning opportunities with classes.
